“the moving dress” is a video installation. The installation consists of two front seats of a car and a handbag placed on the ground in front of them. The interior of a car is suggested. It invites you to take a seat. A video is projected on the handbag. It shows a section of a sky-blue fabric and some asphalt. The wind is blowing. The movement of the silk is shown in hypnotic slow motion. The scene is accompanied by strange sounds: a high whistle and a dark, moan-like murmur. At times, the wind makes powerful and beautiful waves in the fabric. The movement itself becomes the focal point in the video. When the wind dies down, the fabric settles down and is stopped by something from behind. At the bottom of the fabric another kind of movement becomes visible. In the end, an orange-red blinking light appears through the fabric to the left. The camera moves to the right. There another orange-red light is seen blinking. Finally the camera zooms out, revealing both lights at once. The object behind the fabric is a car. The engine of the car is running and the orange-red lights blink through the sky-blue fabric. The fabric dresses the car. The dress is moving. The car is idling.
